Making An Appointment

You may consult any of the doctors or practice nurses, as we do not operate a list system. Appointments may be made, either in person or by phoning the receptionist, on 01344 428742. You can book routine appointments up to 4 weeks in advance, and a limited number of routine appointments are also available 24 hours ahead and some on the same day. Telephone consultations are also available.

Extended hours appointments are available 2 evening per week, but these must be booked in advanced through reception.

If your problem is urgent you will be seen within 24 hours, by either the Triage Nurse or the Duty Doctor.  A Triage Nurse is available every day to treat and advise on acute conditions. If your condition requires, the triage nurse will ask the GP to issue you a prescription or will fast track you straight through to the Duty Doctor .

Reception may ask you questions about your condition so they are able to sign post you quickly through to the most appropriate healthcare proffessional. We ask you to answer as fully as you are able, as this is a necessary part of allocating you to the correct clinician.

If you are unable to attend for your appointment please ring in plenty of time to cancel so that another patient can be given that slot. Annually, we lose hundreds of appointments through patients failing to attend the surgery.  This wastes our time and prevents others from being seen promptly by a medical professional .
