The Gainsborough Practice would like to involve patients in relevant issues relating to the Practice and to respond appropriately to patients’ views and experiences. The key role of the group is to bring together patients, doctors and members of the practice team to work in partnership in order to promote the wellbeing of patients and support the practice to provide a high quality of care and service delivery. The Gainsborough Practice provides medical services for the areas/communities of Bracknell and covers a total practice population of approximately 10,000 and rising.
Next Meeting Date
Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 19th 2019, from 6.15pm at the Gainsborough Practice. If you would like to participate please email us with PPG in the subject line at:
The practice will pass that on to the Patient Group to arrange for them to send an invitation and details of the meeting.
Previous Meetings and Minutes
After each meeting minutes are prepared. These aim to be informative for all patients to read – see minutes of the latest meeting here.
Register for the Patient Group
If you are interested in joining our Patient Group, please print and complete the form below, then hand it into reception. Alternatively you can ask reception for a copy.
We also have a list for people who would like to be informed on Patient Group activities. This is called our Virtual Patient Group (VPG) and you can also register for this on the above form.
Annual Patient Survey
A patient survey is carried out in March each year as a joint activity by the patient group and the practice.
It gives patient feedback on our services, and enables overall patient satisfaction to be assessed – and to be compared with previous years.
A report on the results is prepared and follow up actions are discussed and agreed with the patient group.
For full details for each year on the survey questionnaire, the results data, and the report view our Annual Patient Survey page.
Patient Group News
Our stand at Tesco Warfield on Friday 13th November.
We gave out information on activities people could join – in the local ‘Fit for All’ and ‘Social Prescribing’ programmes organised by Bracknell Forest Council (BFC).
And we handed out our Practice newsletter as well as encouraging patients to read it online.
We met many patients and local people.
Thanks to the Patient Group members who helpled on the day, and to the BFC Public Health team in Bracknell for their support.
